Cleveland has hired Wilbert Montgomery, Andy Moeller, Mike Pettine and Anthony Weaver.

Cleveland will have a distinct Baltimore flavor, and it’s not Old Bay.

The Browns coaching staff will be full of Ravens.

Cleveland officially announced three hirings Thursday afternoon, and all have Baltimore ties. That’s in addition to former Ravens already on staff.

Wilbert Montgomery and Andy Moeller were announced as the running backs and offensive line coaches, respectively. Both coaches were with the Ravens since the start of the John Harbaugh era in 2008, and parted ways this offseason.

The Browns also announced the hiring of Defensive Line Coach Anthony Weaver. Weaver was drafted by the Ravens in the second round in 2002, and played defensive end in Baltimore for four seasons. He has coached in the NFL for the past two years with the Jets and Bills.

Montgomery, Moeller and Weaver join new Head Coach Mike Pettine’s staff. Pettine got his NFL coaching start in Baltimore. He was a coaching assistant in 2002 and 2003, an assistant defensive line coach in 2004 and outside linebackers coach from 2005-2008.

The Browns also hired Kyle Shanahan as their offensive coordinator. Shanahan interviewed twice in Baltimore for the Ravens’ offensive coordinator opening, and was considered one of the finalists before Baltimore opted for Gary Kubiak. Shanahan then went to Cleveland.

Cleveland has targeted former Ravens players as well. Last year, they signed outside linebacker Paul Kruger to a lucrative contract. Former Raven Billy Cundiff was their kicker.
